KAMOGAWA CITY
Kamogawa City is a small city facing the Pacific Ocean located not far from Tokyo. It is popular among Japanese tourists for its famous aquarium that keeps killer whales and its beautiful beaches. Because of its location on the Pacific Ocean, seafood is at its best. Oragadon,” where each restaurant offers a different type of seafood, is highly recommended. There are also the famous terraced rice paddies, which offer beautiful views of both the mountains and the sea. (Photos of the terraced rice fields will be taken during my next visit.)
EMIYOSHIURA SEASIDE CAMPCITE
I recently visited a campsite in the Emiyoshiura district of Kamogawa City. Tents can be set up close to the beach. So you can relax and enjoy the sunset and the sea. After dark, there’s nothing better than sipping whiskey while listening to the sound of the waves. With a beer in hand, of course. Naturally, the sunrise is also wonderful. The top image is a picture taken at sunrise. There’s nothing more luxurious than the pre-dawn hours sipping coffee and waiting for the sun to rise over the Pacific!
MAGIC HOUR VR MOVIE
I have taken a 360-degree video of the Magic Hour. Please enjoy the beautiful time and nature. If you have VR goggles, please experience the beautiful Japanese scenery!
ACCESS
The easiest way to get to Kamogawa City from Tokyo is by train. Take the JR Sotobo Line from Tokyo Station to Awa-Kamogawa Station. The train ride takes approximately 2 hours and costs around 2,000 yen. From Awa-Kamogawa Station, you can take a bus or a taxi to reach your final destination in Kamogawa City. Even if you are going from Narita Airport, it is better to go to Tokyo Station and take the train.
